Bits and Bobs

Some random goings on in late March...

This disaster has been driving me nuts for months!  I clean it up and yet it always looks like this 5 minutes later.  Finally, I did something about it...

So. Much. Better.

This one had to have a tooth removed because she is not smart enough to not chew on rocks that will crack her teeth.  After the surgery, they gave her laser treatments to speed healing.  She looked fancy in her glasses.

Stinkerbell had to create a pizza for the fractions math unit at school.  I think it turned out fantastic.

The little one was sick after coming back from Breck.  I prescribed some sunshine by the pool.  Neither of them complained.  And if you wonder what MadHatter is doing - she is cleaning the pool.  With her own personal pool skimmer.  She is a fanatic about a clean pool.

This one got a new look (an older one if I do say so myself)

Thank you for the cool diamond painting kits A!!!

Spring Break Wrap-up

Saturday, March 30, 2019

After our Saturday spent indoors, we spent the next morning skiing until we couldn't ski anymore...

The only picture I snapped all morning.

And then we headed downtown to have some lunch and do a little bit of shopping.  The girls wanted Eric's (and who am I to deny them good bar food?) and they wanted to get each of our little guests a souvenir to take home with them.  Again, who am I to deny them some fun shopping time?

 It started really coming down!

And then we repeated it all the next morning - this time taking L with us to ski until we were exhausted.  It was our final day on the slopes for the season so we made sure to make it last!

After this tired girl got up, we decided to go in and grab a hot chocolate break...

And then went right back at it...

MadHatter was a great help on the two-person lift.

I even let these two go up once together!

A final shot before heading all the way down and in.

We came off the slopes, tired and hungry, but happy.  It was a great time but it was now time to start packing it all into suitcases and clean the house.   The I family had a long drive ahead of them in the morning and we wanted to make sure they got an early start.  We turned in early but not before greeting our guest at the back door...

One final picture and they were off...

And we were right behind them the next morning...

And this poor little one paid the price for all of our fun - she was sick when we got home :(  But she said all of the fun was well worth it.

The many faces of MadHatter

While there are the occasions where I get this -

Most of the time I get this...

And I wouldn't trade this goofy girl for the world.

Indoor Mountain Fun

Thursday, March 28, 2019

Saturday.  We were sure that the slopes would be ridiculously crowded so we decided to take a day off from skiing and spend the day indoors instead.  I wouldn't call it a day of rest, because we did anything but.  First up, bowling...

One game was enough for us all as it takes a while when the kids are so small.  Also, notice in the picture above that when I entered the names for the kids bowling order it spelled out LAME.  We got a good giggle from that.

Next stop, the pool just upstairs.  Where the kids proceeded to jump, splash, and play to their heart's content...

We had worked up quite the hunger so we headed down to the "Living Room" on the 1st floor and had an impromptu lunch before heading back to the house.

On the way back we found a cave that the gondola operator had dug seemingly just for us to get in...

And we finished up our day indoors with a bottle of the good stuff.  Chilean friends must drink good Chilean wine!

I would call this a fabulous day "off" indeed.
