Pre-Season Meet

Monday, December 23, 2019

Stinkerbell was asked to join her gymnastics club's team back in late Spring.  Since that time, she has been diligently practicing her handstands, perfecting her flips and trying to improve her strength.  Today we got to see her in action for the first time as a team gymnast.  They held a pre-season meet at the gym, with the judges she will be coming in front of for the next few months as she competes around the state.  It is a way to get the girls comfortable in front of a lot of staring eyes and to work out the kinks in their routines. It also allows the parents to get an up close and personal view while watching the girls show off.

Stinkerbell did fantastically.  She still has some kinks to work out but in the overall scoring she placed at the top of the middle of the pack caused by a misstep on the floor routine and a fall off of the bar that we hope to get remedied by the next meet.  To balance out the fall, she did place first in beam!  Overall I would rate her effort and fun at a 10!

Meet hair - check.  Meet leo, shirt and warmup - check.  This girl looked every part the gymnast!

 Her rotation of girls.

 Her winning beam routine.

All of the girls in her level on the podium.

I love that their trophy's were teddy bears.
