Disney Day 2. We had an entire day at the Wild Animal Park ahead of us. We have been a few times but had never really spent the entire day here. I was a bit apprehensive because there aren't as many thrill rides but I needn't have worried. As soon as we walked into the park (and had our picture taken)...
We stumbled onto something we had missed each time we had been previously - the Wilderness Explorers. As we learned, you can follow in the footsteps of Russel from the movie UP! and earn 25 different "badges" throughout the park by finding animals, learning wilderness skills or learning fun facts. I suddenly wasn't so worried about the girls missing a day of school. Stinkerbell started us off and kept it going throughout the entire day. Naturally, we didn't stop until we had collected all of the stickers and badges we could (some attractions were closed). And we all learned LOADS of new information and saw a lot of animals on our adventures (some of them were dressed in costume).

We booked a special lunch for MadHatter's birthday celebration. She chose the Rainforest Cafe and even allowed us to sing Happy Birthday!
We had a great day just enjoying the sun (it was our warmest, sunniest day yet) and each others company. We did have to leave a bit before closing since we had a pesky appointment at Apple to see about my dead phone (pictures here are courtesy of MadHatters device). Which turned out to be a waste of time since they didn't even have my replacement phone in stock. But it didn't diminish our fun and we still had tomorrow (and 1/2 of Monday).
